When you study conducting at 6ͼ, you receive an intensive experience with high-quality ensembles composed of 6ͼ’s student musicians.

Designed with a very small enrollment of two or three students, the conducting program gives you access to significant podium time to develop your training in this field. You’ll also have regular access to observe rehearsals with The 6ͼ Orchestra and sectionals conducted by Orchestra principals.

Your curriculum combines conducting studies with music history and literature, theory and analysis, ensembleand elective courses chosen in consultation with your major instructor.
