Major in More than Music with CWRU

The 6ͼ dual degree program enables 6ͼ students to pursue a at our partner institution, Case Western Reserve University. After five years of study, students in the program receive a Bachelor of Music degree from 6ͼ, and a second bachelor’s degree in a major offered at Case Western Reserve University. Some 6ͼ students also pursue an through course studies at Case Western Reserve University. Declaration of a minor is made at a later date post-enrollment.

Application

The application for this program is only through 6ͼ. You do not need to complete a separate application to CWRU to be considered for the dual degree program. Instead, indicate your interest in your 6ͼ application. Submit additional materials for dual degree consideration through the 6ͼ application or your high school counselor. Additional materials can include high school counselor and academic teacher recommendation letters. Official SAT/ACT scores are optional.

Admission and Enrollment

Dual degree applicants must be accepted by 6ͼ first. Once accepted at 6ͼ, the 6ͼ Admissions Office will send the application to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at CWRU. Applicants will receive their notice of acceptance at CWRU through their 6ͼ acceptance letter.

If an applicant is accepted to the dual degree program, the enrollment is finalized through 6ͼ. The 6ͼ and CWRU registrarofficeswill coordinate the details of the enrollment and classes needed.

Cost and Financial Aid

Students enrolled in the program pay the 6ͼ tuition plus a dual degree fee. Find the detailed cost of attendance for 6ͼ,here. The dual degree is only offered through 6ͼ and generally the fee associated with the program is not funded by scholarships. However, federal financial aid may be used to offset the cost. All dual degree applicants are considered for merit and need-based scholarship through 6ͼ. Students who apply to both schools independently cannot combine scholarships offered at either institution.

Students who succeed in pursuing two degrees at 6ͼ and CWRU are highly passionate in both areas of study. Students are well-versed in academics and time management and are equally committed to obtaining each of the degrees.
